How to Find More Joy in Motherhood: Slow Down

Last month, I received an email from The Parenting Junkie with the subject line “most parents hate parenting.” It broke my heart. It is hard, but I love motherhood. And, I believe that slowing down has allowed me to love it. By embracing slow motherhood, we give ourselves time to take care of ourselves as well as our kids. It allows us to find more joy in motherhood. #selfcare #slowmotherhood #slowdown #lovemotherhood #magicofmotherhood #intentionalmotherhood #mindfulmotherhood

  • Let's Strive For Harmony Instead: Rather than searching for balance, why not strive for harmony instead? Let's work to integrate the areas of our lives to be more authentic and holistic.

    Let’s Strive For Harmony Instead

Last week, I made a case against searching for balance. Instead, I think we should strive for harmony. We try so hard to find balance in our lives. For most of us, it is a fruitless goal. It is almost…

  • We need to stop searching for balance. We spend our lives seeking something so elusive it becomes an impossibility. Let's search for this instead.

Why We Need to Stop Searching For Balance

It seems like we are constantly searching for balance. We need to stop. I have talked a lot about balance in the past (here, at home, at work, with friends, everywhere). If we are working too much, we need to…

Hey! It is nice to meet you!

Sustainable, Simple, Slow LivingHi, I’m Jess. I’m a crunchy mama of two little boys who are almost always outrunning me. I do my best to let them lead and to sit in stillness and watch them. Like most moms, I struggle daily with patience (it is the thing I work on the most). I also struggle with presence, and it is at the heart of slow motherhood.

This is my little space to help you find peace and ease by making your life simple, sustainable, slow
